Al Dente does handmade pasta in Boston's North End — the heart of Italian America. The cacio e pepe is $22 and textbook perfect. The bolognese simmers for 8 hours. Tiny 30-seat restaurant, reservations essential. This is the kind of Italian restaurant the North End is famous for. BYOB on Mondays.
