Went back to Genghis Cohen for the live music. The back room hosts incredible singer-songwriters. $10 cover, $15 cocktails, amazing dumplings. The combination of Chinese food and live music is uniquely LA. 4 stars because the dining room was cash only which caught me off guard again.

Genghis Cohen is an LA institution — Chinese food with live music in the back room. The kung pao chicken and spicy dumplings are legendary. $14-22 entrees. Cash only for the dining room. The music venue has hosted everyone from Jeff Buckley to Beck. Fairfax district vibes.
