HVAC Industries came for the annual spring boiler shutdown and inspection. They drained the system, inspected the heat exchanger, and cleaned the burner. $150 for the service. The boiler they installed last year performed flawlessly through a brutal Boston winter. Annual maintenance is key.

HVAC Industries replaced our ancient boiler when it died during a February nor'easter. Emergency service at 11pm, new unit installed next day. $6,200 for a high-efficiency condensing boiler. Boston winters don't wait and neither did they. Now on their annual maintenance plan.
