Fifth visit to Kiln — brought my book club. Everyone was blown away. The whole roasted fish with turmeric is the dish of the year. Six people, $250 total with drinks. Every person has been back independently. This is how great restaurants grow — one recommendation at a time.

Second visit to Kiln. Tried the whole roasted duck this time — $48 for 2 people. The crispy skin with chili sauce was extraordinary. The mushroom larb appetizer was a new addition and delicious. 4 stars because the noise level in the Mission location is intense. But the food is world-class.

Kiln does Thai-inspired cuisine with wood-fired cooking techniques. The whole grilled fish with chili sauce is $36 and feeds two. The flavors are bold and the execution is precise. Mission District location, great natural wine list. This is SF dining at its creative best.

At this point they feel less like a service provider and more like a trusted partner. They know our preferences, anticipate our needs, and always deliver beyond expectations.

The mark of a truly great business is when you stop comparing them to others because the comparison is unnecessary. They set the bar so high it is their own standard now.

The team has grown since I first started coming here but the quality has not diluted at all. Good management and good culture clearly. It shows in the work.

Found Kiln through a Google search and glad I did. They were responsive, showed up when they said they would, and the quality of work was excellent. Price was competitive with the other quotes I received. Would definitely use them again.
