Second trip to The Pit Room — brought my entire 8-person team for a Friday lunch. Ordered the family pack — 3 meats, 4 sides, feeds 8-10 people. $120 total. Everyone raved. The brisket is still the best in Houston. We now do monthly team BBQ lunches here. Montrose landmark.

The Pit Room does Texas BBQ that rivals the famous names. The brisket is smoked 16 hours and the bark is perfect. $22 for a 3-meat plate with two sides. The elote and green chile mac are the best sides in Houston BBQ. Montrose location, expect a 30-minute line on Saturdays. Worth every minute.
