Unwynd Salon is a locally owned beauty studio offering modern hair, skin, waxing, tanning, and lash services in Elk Grove and the greater Sacramento area. They focus on creating a relaxed, welcoming space where personal style and professional care come together. Founded in 2021 by friends and partners Carmen Larson and Laureen Kastanos, the salon was built on a foundation of resilience, friendship, and a shared passion for their craft. Laureen faced breast cancer more than a decade ago, celebrating 13 cancer-free years before being diagnosed again in 2021. She bravely fought her second battle until her passing in 2023. Carmen was diagnosed in 2020 and now proudly celebrates five years cancer-free. Supporting breast cancer awareness and related causes has always been close to both of their hearts. For more than 20 years, Carmen and Laureen worked side by side, creating lasting bonds with coworkers and clients alike. Many of those relationships continue today, as much of the former J.
