Third anniversary dinner at Gibsons. The bone-in ribeye never disappoints. The sommelier recommended a Napa cab that paired perfectly. $180 for two with wine. This is where Chicago does power dining. Reservations 2 weeks ahead for Friday/Saturday. Gold Coast institution.

Gibsons in the Gold Coast is the quintessential Chicago steakhouse. The 22oz bone-in ribeye is $68 and perfectly aged. The atmosphere is old-school power dining — dark wood, white tablecloths, celebrity photos. Reservations essential, dress code enforced. This is where deals get done in Chicago.
